Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River is about one hour closer to most parts of Atlanta than its sister casino. It is one of two North Carolina casinos that are operated by Caesars Entertainment and owned by the Cherokees with the other property being about an hour away in Cherokee, NC. The property is fairly new, having opened just a few years ago, on September 28, 2015. Though it is owned by the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians, it is operated by Caesars Entertainment through a partnership agreement.
